Buzzard

Due to the fact that I have not been on many rambles of late, preferring at the moment to concentrate on one patch, this blog has been left in the dark.
So to brighten things up a little here we have a few Buzzard pic's.

Peover

Not as busy as last year, perhaps Saturdays rain had people thinking it may rain again.
It didn't but it made for a day that was bright and not to contrasty, so I took a few photo's " big surprise " only took wide angle though, so working in non wildlife mode. Hope you enjoy.

Obsession's

I seem to have developed a love affair with GSW's, they fascinate me to a point of obsession, can't stop taking pictures of them. Now, it would have been more healthy 20 years ago, or so it may have been thought, if they were bird's of the non feathered variety but at this time of life I will have to settle for these.

Another Bike Ride

Took a days holiday and got the bike out at 6.30 am, cameras in back pack and of to Bempton.
Good ride up and lovely weather on arrival, ranger let me store bike gear in office so no need to carry it, good, I had to walk in bike boots so didn't go to far but managed to get some decent shots.
Will have to go again in the next few weeks but take the car instead.
Ride back was not so good with the M1 having shut 2 junctions, so took a diversion through Leeds and onto the M62, it added 20 miles and about 3/4 of an hour to the trip but I was still home by tea time.

As usual the rest can be found on Google/Picasa.

Damsel's, but not in distress.

Consall nature reserve early Sunday morning, lots of Blues about and a dozen or so Large Reds but not much else.

Decent weather for a day.

Bank Holiday Monday and I decided to take a trip up to the lakes, went on the bike so traffic not a problem.
This was the first proper run out this year due to crap weather, the older I get the more the bad weather puts me off.
The only problem is it makes it very hard to carry and use any amount of camera gear, so I took my Panasonic LX3 compact, why camera manufacturers insist on not fitting optical viewfinders is beyond me.
Get a bit of sun on the screen and you can't see a bloody thing,  it leaves you framing by guess work. MAD !!!  very nearly spoils a damn good camera.
